From empty shell to Good Game Collectibles.
Our friends at Good Game Collectibles needed a home for their trading card and collectibles store in La Mirada. INVICTA took an empty retail shell and built it out — demo, new flooring, restroom upgrades, a black ceiling with hex LED lights, slatwall and signage — ready for opening day.

How we built it
Eight phases from shell to opening day.
A retail build-out lives or dies on the look and the layout. Here’s how this card shop came together.

Empty retail shell
A long, bare suite in the La Mirada Theater Center: old tile floor, drop ceiling and nothing to sell from.
- 02
Demo & clean-out
Old cabinets, counters and fixtures pulled out so the space could be laid out for retail.
- 03
New plank flooring
Wood-look plank flooring run the full length of the store, front door to back of house.
- 04
Restroom upgrades
Restroom refreshed with new fixtures and grab bars.
- 05
Hex LED ceiling
A black ceiling with hexagon LED light fixtures installed — the gaming-store look the owners wanted.
- 06
Slatwall & finishes
White slatwall down both walls so merchandise can be hung, moved and re-merchandised anytime.

Signage
The Good Game Collectibles sign hung under the arcade so shoppers can find the store.
- 08
Open for business
Fixtures stocked with cards, sealed product and collectibles, and the doors opened to customers.

The hex LED ceiling, black finishes and white slatwall give Good Game the look of a real destination for card players and collectors. On opening day, shoppers were in browsing cards, sealed product, plush and collectibles.
